Værsikret vidvinkelobjektiv til mellomformat med bildestabilisering er sannsynlig en etterlengtet nyhet for de som fotograferer med Pentax digitale mellomformatkameraer. Brennvidden 28-45mm tilsvarer 22-35mm i 35mm formatet og er ideelt for naturfotografering.

Objektivet har innebygget bildestabilisering og en konstruksjon med 17 linser i 12 grupper, hvorav to asfæriske linser og to med ED-glass (Extra Low Dispersion).

Det er utstyrt med den siste antirefleks-behandlingsteknikken, HD og Aero Bright Coating, samt en beskyttende SP-coating (Super Protect) på frontlinsen, som gjør det enkelt å rengjøre.

Videre har dette objektivet Quick-Shift Focus system, hvilket innebærer at man raskt veksler mellom manuell og autofokus.

Forskjellige filter kan brukes foran frontlinsen, som f.eks. sirkulært polarisasjonsfilter, noe som er uvanlig på denne typen objektiver.
