GR IIIx Urban Edition Special Limited Kit
IInspired by the asphalt of big-city streets, and the lights of the sky and neon that reflect in
them, the RICOH GR IIIx "Urban Edition" is offered in a metallic gray body color. This
elaborately designed surface not only looks particularly classy, it also ensures a pleasant and
secure grip feeling. In addition to the special housing color, the blue lens ring is an external
feature of this series.
The GR IIIx Urban Edition, is offered as a Special Limited Kit in an edition of 2,000 pieces
worldwide. It includes, in addition to the camera in the special body finish, a blue lens ring, a
leather wrist strap with a blue application and a black metal hot shoe cover with the engraving:
"Since 1996".
Newly developed 26.1mm GR lens
Due to high demand, the GR IIIx is offered with a 26.1mm F2.8 lens (equivalent to
40 mm in 35 mm format) and offers:
• The focal length of 40 mm corresponds to the angle of view of the human eye
• Natural shooting perspective
• More creative possibilities with the bokeh
• The new lens construction results in improved image quality, which is especially noticeable
in the peripheral area
• Wide focal length range through adapters and crop functions between 40 and 105 mm

• AA filter-free design for best possible sharpness and detail resolution
• 3-axis Shake Reduction, for 4 stops of exposure reliability

Image-Control function
• 10 different settings for film simulation; now with monotone
• Individual settings of the image look can be stored in the image control
High resolution touch screen monitor
• High-resolution 3.0-inch LCD monitor with approx. 1,037,000 pixels
• Intuitive camera control through operation on the touch-sensitive camera monitor
• Air gapless design reduces reflections and allows working on the monitor even in direct sunlight
• Colour and brightness of the image on the monitor can be adjusted individually
• Specially hardened glass surface protects against scratches and damage
Mobile communication via Bluetooth® and W-LAN
• Wireless connection to mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets
• Newly developed image sync application, now with image size reduction
• Fast and direct upload to social networks
• Bluetooth® connection enables camera control via mobile phone
• Images can be tagged with GPS data
• Built-in stereo microphone
